It’s a real blessing to be a pastor at First Christian Church. Part of
my training in ministry started in North Carolina and it’s a great joy to be in Wilmington. I am indebted to my mother and my college and seminary professors for instilling in me a love for learning. The Disciples of Christ tradition has been a great place to do that. I am the proud dad of two children, Justin and Lauren and the blessed husband of Tena Childers. I love to travel, hike, play the guitar, and can be found now and then at our “satellite” office, Port City Java enjoying a “good” cup of coffee and good conversation about faith. When people ask me about being at FCC my response is always – “how could it ever be bad being a pastor at the beach!”
