First Christian strives to faithfully practice our faith by sharing God’s love and seeking to live out God’s justice with neighbors near and far. We currently participate in the following ministries in the Wilmington area.
Food Pantry Ministry of First Christian Church:
Volunteer teams purchase food for, assemble, and deliver emergency food bags to the Department of Social Services. Deliveries are made twice a month. A list of items for purchase and quantities for each bag is provided. You can help serve by joining a volunteer team or by donating non-perishable food items to the food pantry. (Emergency food bags are distributed to families who have applied for food aid and are unable to afford even the most basic items while their applications are processed.)
