When I see the amount of God’s work being carried out by members of our congregation and see the hopes and dreams being presented by ministry teams for the church, I can feel God’s presence amongst us saying ” well done, my good and faithful servants”. The positive atmosphere flowing through our congregation is very exciting, and makes us want to do more of God’s work as we are able. As mentioned before, our Stewardship theme for the church year 2015-2016 is “From Bread and Wine to Faith and Giving”. God gave his very best to us which is represented in the Bread and Cup – His very own son. What are we willing to give in return to carry out his work? On Sunday March 29th, Transformation Sunday, we will be asked to make a pledge answering the question, “What does God want me to give?” 2Corinthians: 7-9 says You must each make up your own mind as to how much you should give. Don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. For God loves the person who gives cheerfully. And God will provide all you need. then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. As the scriptures say godly people give generously to the poor. Their good deeds will never be forgotten. Prayerfully consider taking a “Step Up” this year.
