World Communion Sunday
This Sunday, October 4, we will be joining with thousands of churches across the globe in taking a special Sunday to reflect on how Communion binds us together as one. We will have special celebrations during both our Turning Point and Traditional worship services.
In addition, we will try something altogether different this year by having an Agape Feast during the Sunday School hour at 9:45am. The Agape Feast is an attempt to experience something more like how the very early church celebrated communion, as a full meal and not as a ritual in the middle of a worship service. Think about it as the group of friends who knew and loved someone who just passed away gathering to have a joyful celebration in his memory. We will have a light meal and a guided discussion and remembrance of Jesus. We hope everyone from both services can join us in the Fellowship Hall.
