Offerings for Children
Children’s Worship and Wonder
Children Worship & Wonder (CWW) is a Montessori-influenced faith formation program that offers a chance for your child to hear Bible stories and form responses to the stories that reflect their own life experiences. CWW is worship centered with storytelling, ritual, and fellowship that is used to deepen your child’s relationship with God. Children gather in the Worship and Wonder room (Room 2) before worship for our 8:45 service. At our 11am service, children join their parents for the beginning of worship and leave for Worship and Wonder following the Children’s Message.
Children’s Sunday School
We are excited to offer a hands-on, rotational-model Sunday school program for our children ages 4 – 5th grade. Students spend a full month learning about and from one story of scripture, rotating through two ‘stations’ each Sunday. With the help of a wonderful team of volunteers, we explore each scripture through storytelling, art, drama, science, music, cooking, games and movies! Students gather in Room 8 to start.
Offerings for Youth
Youth Sunday School
Youth, grades 6th-12th meet in the youth room for ‘coffee and conversations’ during the Sunday school hour. We have donuts and coffee and share informal conversation about current faith topics. Our conversations are currently being guided by the Banned Questions book series by Christian Piatt (but no prior reading is required!). The last Sunday of each month, we take our conversation up the street to Starbucks (where the coffee is a little better but the conversation is just as great!). The youth meet in Room 14.
Christian Youth Fellowship (CYF)
CYF is open to youth, grades 3rd-12th and meets 8-10 times a year for fellowship and service projects. We have some exciting stuff planned for summer and fall of this year. For specific dates and info, subscribe to the CYF newsletter by emailing our Youth Director, Courtney ([email protected]).
